Experience
I’m a Licensed Professional Clinical Mental Health Counselor (LPCC) and Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC) with clinical experience working with individuals and families affected by anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, suicidality, psychosis, chronic pain and relationship conflicts. I also have clinical experience working with teens and families affected by self harm, grief and loss, attachment related issues, and parenting difficulties.
In the past I’ve used a Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) informed approach, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR) Therapy. Currently, I practice primarily from an Internal Family Systems (IFS) approach.
A graduate of Vanderbilt University, I have a bachelor’s degree in Human and Organizational Development and a masters degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. I was a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) for a number of years and taught Gentle & Restorative yoga classes focused on mindful awareness and self regulation.
My husband and I have three boys and together we live on a homestead with a garden, flock of chickens, and herd of dairy goats. I grew up an Evangelical Christian, spent time exploring Buddhism and Yoga as a young adult, and eventually found my home in the beautiful practices and timeless wisdom of the Orthodox Christian Church.
